Transitions
Last updated: August 7, 2024
Transitions are how users move between sections / pages within forms. Items in the same page will be accessible with scrolling whereas items in different sections will require a transition to reach. There are automatic and manual transitions.
Automatic transitions will switch to the target section after the user selects a response. Automatic transitions can only be used after certain element types such as multiple choice.
Manual transitions require clicking a button that can be named accordingly.
Transitions are essential for all forms, branching logic, and automation form elements. When submitting forms, transitions are used to trigger different events such as qualifying participants, sending emails to study team members, applying study templates, and branching logic.
