Informed Consent

Participants can read and sign their informed consent documents in Chloe. Chloe supports both self-consent documents and consent documents that require a counter signature. Depending on the nature of your study it may be helpful to also screen qualified participants by inviting them to a video call to review their informed consent. This process clarifies what participation entails, answers questions, and makes participants feel supported.

Informed consent is a fundamental ethical requirement in conducting research with human participants. It ensures that participants are fully aware of the nature of the research, including its purpose, procedures, potential risks, and benefits, before they agree to take part. This process is crucial in protecting participants' autonomy and upholding ethical standards in research. Participation must be voluntary and quitting should be optional at any point.

Chloe can support your informed consent needs with rich text, images, videos, and/or comprehension questions to ensure participants are well-informed on all aspects of the research process.

Providing clear and comprehensive information includes explaining how their data will be used, ensuring confidentiality, and outlining any potential risks. By prioritizing informed consent, brands can enhance the credibility of their research, build stronger relationships with their customers, and ensure compliance with U.S. research regulations.
